The Old Fool

The Old Fool
Realizes
He Once WaS
The Wise Fool

A Thin Line
Divides
Wisdom
And
Folly

Due To Age
Senility
Sets In
And Makes Him
Fuzzy Crazy

So Bloated
Like A Toad
He Fights
Cancer
Filled With
Sickness
Pain
Poison
Corruption
Power Abuse
And Greed

The Old Fool
Fumbles
Further
With Foolish
Advice
And
Bad Company

Goodwill
Goes
With The Rot

His Fame
Turns
With
The Twist
Of Fate

Blame
Rains
On His Head
As People Rise
In Anger
And Hate

His Decisions
Are Flawed
His Actions
Invite Critique
His Folly
Attracts Ridicule

So Someone
Who Once Was
Wise Can
End Up
The Old Fool
When The Can
Of Worms
Spills Into Public
View

Praises Seem Few
Mistakes Too Many
To Count

Hence
The Old Fool
Becomes Entangle
In Endless Disputes

In Haste He Acts
At Leisure He Regrets

The Wise Fool

The Wise Fool
Sits High
In Station
Stature

He Rests
His Head
And Contemplates
Deep And Long

Suddenly
Spotlight
Shines
On His Grey Hair
And Wrinkled Face

It Is Almost
Time It Seems
For Him To Go

Despite
His Power And Glory
His Story
And Legacy
Would Be Told
For Generations
To Come

History
Would Draw
Lessons From
His Acts
In Right Or Wrong

Would His Name
Be Fragrant Fame
Or Stinking Shit
All Would Know
In Fair Judgement
Based On
Truth,Justice And Right

So The Higher
The Office And Honour
The Greater
The Public Trust And Splendour

The Heavier
The Duty And Dignity
The Weightier
The Responsibility and Obligation

And

The More Far-reaching
And Important
The Impact
Of
One's Acts And Works

The Wise Fool
Is Sane Enough
To Know
Age Is Catching Up
And
Time Is Running Out
For Him
To Do Good
And
Right
